Fennel Essential Oil (foeniculum vulgare) is steam distilled from the seeds. It has a strong, aniseed like fragrance and is extremely stimulating.Fennel is a courageous oil and was once used to ward off evil spirits.
The Chinese used it to counteract snake bites.
Fennel is another ancient herb that is still present today in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia.
Vaporise Fennel at the beginning of a dinner party and you will probably find stimulating conversation and everyone will be ready to eat. At the end of the evening when you want your guests to go home, vaporise a blend of Vetivert and Ylang-Ylang.
A satisfying blend is a blend of Fennel and Grapefruit.
