Rosemary Essential Oil (rosmarinus officinalis) is steam distilled from the flowers and leaves. It has a strong, herbaceous aroma with Eucalyptus undertones.Rosemary is one of the earliest plants to be used in cosmetics, medicines, foods and magic. It was also used as a preservative for meat. The French used to burn it in their hospitals during epidemics and it was held sacred by many civilisations.
In magic Rosemary represents the element Fire and the planet Sun. It has been used frequently in Love and Youth rituals as well as for stimulating memory.
